Bentley OpenUtilities displays several types of messages: advisory error messages, system error messages, and data model violation error messages.

An advisory message usually identifies a problem and tells you how to solve it.

System error messages can be used by system administrators and service providers for troubleshooting and diagnostic activities. Clicking the More button on the message box displays a technical message about the problem. Clicking the Less button collapses the box to its original size. Clicking the Send Email button will send an email with the technical message to a configurable system administrator address.
